Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness - John Keats

"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness

Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells."
(John Keats)

Keats is one of the most remarkable poets of all time and I believe he did great justice to Fall by composing the beautiful peace "To Autumn".
The autumnal equinox and its following enchantments never cease to amuse me. The changing color palettes of the landscape and the skies, the chilly yet warm feel of cozy afternoons and serene moonlit nights, the flavors of toffee, pumpkin spice, and eggnog, and the festivities of the harvest all combine to reflect the beauty of God and the spirit of goodness.
