It means to ascertain if the inquiry is an exhausted plea raised by someone perturbed by the monotonous routine or the inquirer really does seek a bigger purpose. Some seek a bigger purpose, others seek entertainment.

There is a soul to each life, waiting to be resurrected and expressed into living existence. There is a core to each life form that exists to serve a purpose. Some go on, never touching that soul and passing on into oblivion. Fortunate, chivalrous ones manage to find it and become one with it. Only they are true warriors of life's battlefield.
