Writing Off Another Year

Writing off another year,
Another page, another tier.
Times shall change
And so shall we,
To write another tale,
A new story.
Let this ode be to the setting sun,
Commemorate its lengthy run.
Let it rest, for the night is young,
A new dawn awaits the horizon.
Raise a toast to the aurora,
Of love, faith, hope and a plethora
Of paths to walk, and fruits to bear,
And dreams to dream, and dreams to share.
